Hot or cold, the whole family loves this creamy bacon dip. And if you’re anything like us, buy an extra loaf of bread for dipping. Enjoy!
1 package Willowgrove Hill smoked bacon (approximately 454 grams)
1 large, round loaf sourdough or pumpernickel bread
1 package cream cheese
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup salad dressing or mayonnaise
6 green onions, chopped
Preheat oven to 350F. Cook bacon until crisp. Drain, crumble and set aside.
Cut off top of bread to form a cover. Hollow out loaf, leaving a half-inch thick shell. Cut removed bread into dipping-sized cubes.
Beat together cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and green onions. Stir in bacon. Spoon mixture into bread and replace the bread top.
Wrap in heavy foil and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350F.
Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
